I really need to re-take control here and stop jerking around.  I'm not hurting anyone but myself by being a giant turd.  I ate kind of crummy today, but I decided I was getting off of my fat butt tonight and hitting the road.  I did 10 minutes warmup on the exercise bike and then 2 miles in 28:40 with an average hr of 158.  I'm doing another 5k on Saturday and then our family is going to Disney World in about a month.  I'd like to be 15 lbs lighter and able to walk a ton the several days we'll be down there.  Enough of this crap. She might check in here at some point&lt;span style="font-size:78%;"&gt;(I doubt she'll post comments though...(now that I've called her out, maybe she will :)))&lt;/span&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now that there's a chance of her reading this, I'm recommitted to posting my daily updates  :)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;on another note, I will be getting my new bike this week sometime....I'm going to be riding in the &lt;a href="http://www.millerliteride.com/"&gt;Miller Lite Ride for the Arts&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'm planning on the 50 mile ride with my cousin Sarah&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'm also doing another 5k in April after running this last weekend when it was nice and realizing that my running shape sucks terribly.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I've adjusted my triathlon schedule.  Instead of June, I'm doing one in July and maybe a 2nd in September. I rejoined a meeting tonight and I've decided to try the core plan instead of flex points.  I may switch back, but I wanted to really change things up a bit.  So when you see my food blog, if a food has a c next to it, I don't need to count points for it.  I am working on training myself to eat within my comfort zone.  My thought is that with core foods, if I know I can eat more if I'm still hungry, I'll focus on slowing down my eating.  I still will have certain foods that I will need to count points for:  bread, pasta, etc (I can eat whole wheat pasta or potatoes one meal a day as a core food).  I will get 35 weekly points plus my activity points. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My leader's name is Tracy and she seems very nice.  a negative....but I did summon up the resolve to get on the bike and pedal for 90 minutes - 60 at high intensity&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'm not sure what exactly is going on in my head.  I've been struggling now for about 8 months.  I have determined that I need to keep reminding myself of a few things to stay on track and be successful again:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1.  food is fuel&lt;br /&gt;2.  low grade fuel will affect the performance of the engine&lt;br /&gt;3.  keep track of everything&lt;br /&gt;4.  it's not the number on the scale that's important, it's how I feel (and right now I'm feeling kind of crappy about myself)&lt;br /&gt;5.  I don't need to cram my stomach full to the point of discomfort....the food will still be there if I get hungry later&lt;br /&gt;6. Down 2 lbs to 340.6&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'm happy that I'm back on the losing side of things....now I need to focus on staying on track points wise and exercise wise. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;On another note, I have a sick daughter so I'm hoping I don't catch her pneumonia.  We took her to the doctor soon enough so it's in the beginning stages...add an ear infection too and she's not doing to well at night. I'm pretty ashamed of this one.  I have had a major backslide.  I'm feeling a strengthening of my resolve to get back on track, but I've thought that in the past too.  I need to get back on track though.  I can feel the difference in my health already.  I'm going to try going back to what worked for me from the start.
